Akaga - Live IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival
Akaga, one of the most popular bands in Bulgaria, are back on the club circuit. Formed by students from the National Music Academy in 1990, the band quickly became known as the creators of an exciting new modern Bulgarian sound. Airport, from their first album Broken Dreams, was welcomed with great success, becoming the best-selling single of the year. To cap off this extremely successful debut, Akaga won Best New Group of The Year from Rhythm magazine. Akaga's album Why documented their evolution, incorporating both traditional Bulgarian folk and a younger, more modern techno style. The successive one LIVE was recorded after their original co-writer, drums and percussion player, Kristian Alexandrov, left the band.
